Open Positions

Media Supervisor [FULL TIME] | LOCATION: San Francisco Bay Area | SALARY RANGE: $90-$120k
TIMING: Early Q1, 2026

  • 61 Hawk helps ambitious brands achieve market traction in a month. We move fast, think boldly, and pair data discipline with creative problem-solving to scale what works. As an early member of our team, you’ll help shape how a modern, strategy-led media practice operates — and grow with an agency built for speed, clarity, and impact.

  • Plan & Manage Modern Media

    • Lead media planning and buying across digital channels (paid social, programmatic, search, video) and traditional channels (OOH, radio, print, direct mail).

    • Develop strategic media recommendations rooted in strong audience insight, data analysis, and the agency’s positioning frameworks.

    • Own budget stewardship, pacing, optimization, and performance reporting.

    Optimize for Performance

    • Evaluate channel performance and recommend data-driven adjustments to improve efficiency and ROI.

    • Build test-and-learn plans that push campaigns to work harder and smarter.

    Manage Freelancers & Partners

    • Oversee and support contract media buyers and analysts; ensure quality of work and on-time execution.

    • Manage vendor relationships across platforms and traditional media partners.

    Engage Directly with Clients

    • Present plans, insights, results, and recommendations with clarity and confidence.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor who helps clients understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how it drives business goals.

    Help Build the Agency

    • Contribute to 61 Hawk’s media practice as an early hire — shaping processes, tools, standards, and playbooks.

    • Participate in new business pitches, thought leadership, and case studies as the agency scales.

    • Bring a growth mindset to every challenge: willing to try, test, refine, and improve.

    • 5–7 years of media planning and buying experience, spanning both digital and offline.

    • Fluent in major media platforms (Meta, Google, programmatic DSPs), analytics tools, and traditional media workflows.

    • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to distill insights, recommend sharp approaches, and communicate with simplicity.

    • Confident managing freelancers and coordinating multi-partner workflows.

    • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building new systems, not just inheriting them.

    • Curious, collaborative, proactive — and excited to help shape the next chapter of 61 Hawk.

    • Impact from day one: You’ll help build a modern media practice at a fast-moving, founder-led agency.

    • Growth built-in: Opportunities to deepen your craft, expand responsibility, and help shape a scaling organization.

    • A seat at the table: You work directly with the founder, clients, and senior strategists — your ideas matter here.

ACCOUNT MANAGER [FULL TIME] | LOCATION: San Francisco Bay Area |
SALARY RANGE: $85-$100k/yr

  • We’re hiring an Account Manager who is equal parts strategic partner, client lead, and media-savvy operator. This is not a traditional account role that only “manages relationships.” At 61 Hawk, the Account Manager becomes the connective tissue between strategy, media, creative, and client goals, ensuring that every decision, deliverable, and campaign drives business results.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of digital and offline media, can engage clients with clarity and confidence, and knows how to keep fast-moving teams aligned and accountable.

This is an early hire for the agency. Perfect for someone excited to help build new processes, shape client experience, and contribute to 61 Hawk’s growth story.

  • Client Leadership

    • Serve as day-to-day strategic partner for clients across education, consumer, B2B, and emerging categories.

    • Translate business goals into clear briefs, plans, scopes, and workstreams.

    • Present insights, strategy, results, and recommendations with clarity and conviction.

    • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance and strengthen the relationship.

    Media-Driven Strategy & Execution

    • Work closely with media planners/buyers to ensure campaigns ladder up to objectives.

    • Interpret media data and performance trends; convert insights into next steps, optimizations, and test plans.

    • Support channel strategy decisions across digital (paid social, programmatic, search, video) and offline (OOH, print, radio, direct mail).

    • Maintain a clear view of budgets, pacing, KPIs, and reporting.

    Project Ownership & Delivery

    • Own timelines, deliverables, scopes, and cross-functional coordination.

    • Keep internal teams aligned and accountable across media, strategy, creative, and analytics.

    • Ensure all client communications, presentations, and recommendations meet 61 Hawk’s standards of clarity and impact.

    • Manage flow of contracts, invoices and billing.

    Team & Freelancer Management

    • Collaborate closely with media supervisors and freelance specialists.

    • Manage workflows, quality, and alignment on all client-facing work.

    • Help build repeatable playbooks, processes, and resourcing models as the agency scales.

    Agency Growth & Development

    • Contribute to new business pitches and proposals; articulate 61 Hawk’s differentiated media and strategy approach.

    • Help develop thought leadership, case studies, and internal frameworks.

    • Bring a growth mindset and entrepreneurial energy to shaping the future of 61 Hawk.

    • 5–8 years of account management experience in an agency or similar environment, with significant exposure to media planning, buying, or analytics.

    • Strong strategic thinker who can simplify complexity and connect media performance to business outcomes.

    • Excellent communicator — in decks, in meetings, and under pressure.

    • Comfortable owning relationships with senior clients and navigating fast-moving, high-stakes engagements.

    • Confident managing multidisciplinary teams and freelancers.

    • Energized by working in a building-stage agency where processes evolve and your impact is tangible.

    • Curious, organized, proactive, and committed to creating work that moves clients forward.
